A celebration of cycling, a celebration of life
The Raven Rock Ramble is a century (100-mile) bicycle ride which explores
the four-county area (Wake, Harnett, Lee, and Chatham)
around
Raven Rock State Park.
Proceeds from the event go to benefit the
National Kidney Foundation of North Carolina
and the US Transplant Games.
Since its start in 2002, the Raven Rock Ramble has raised over $61,000 for these
causes.
| 432 riders enjoyed clear blue skies, mild temperatures, and relatively
calm winds for the 7th riding of the Raven Rock Ramble on May 4, and we
raised over $13,500. Pictures may be found here.
Registration will open on December 1, 2008 for the 2009 edition of the
Raven Rock Ramble.

425 riders and will fill by early April. There is no day-of-event registration.

Registration
Pick-up: |
You may pick up your registration packet on Friday, May 2, or Saturday,
May 3 at The Spin Cycle in
Cary. Spin Cycle owner Kevin Coggins will offer a special gift to
sweeten the deal. Registration packets will be available starting at 7:30am the morning of
the event (Sunday, May 4) at Harris Lake County Park at the Longleaf
shelter.

| Time: |
Park opens at 7:30am, all rides start at 8:30am. All routes close
at 4:30pm.

Harris Lake County Park
in southwest Wake County, near the Shearon Harris nuclear plant
(see Directions)

| Cost: |
$30 (still). Receipt will be provided for
tax-deductible portion of registration fee.
