Raven Rock Ramble 2017

Mobile App

The Raven Rock Ramble mobile app puts a wealth of information at your fingertips. You can get directions to packet pickup and Harris Lake County Park, see your location and services within the park, view any of the routes and your location on the route, request help, send a text with your location, and more! Works on iPhone and Android.

Or, see the instructions, below...

Installation

On your smart phone, browse to RavenRockRamble.org/mobile, or scan this QR code:

Note: When you run the app you will be asked whether it should be allowed to access your location.  Choose Yes or Allow, as otherwise none of the map functions will work.

After opening in your browser, add an icon to your home screen.

iOS (Safari)

Android (Chrome)

  1. Press the Share button at the bottom of the screen

  2. Press the "Add to Home Screen" button

  3. Press "Add" in the upper-right corner.
  1. Press the menu button
    (varies by phone type)
  2. Press "Add to Home Screen"

If "Add to Home Screen" (or something similar) is not an available option, then:

  1. Save the app's home page as a bookmark
  2. Open the browser's bookmarks, and press and hold the Raven Rock Ramble app's bookmark
  3. Press "Add shortcut to home" (or option with similar wording)

Go back to your home screen, open the Raven Rock Ramble app, and play!

Known limitations

  1. If you close the app while on a map page, you may drain your battery more quickly. Instead, navigate to the Home page or a non-map page to better preserve your battery life.
  2. On some Android phones, the For Volunteers' Arriving/Departing buttons may not work. You can expand the "Text Volunteers" section and use the Director button at the top instead.
