A celebration of cycling, a celebration of life
The Raven Rock Ramble is a century (100-mile) bicycle ride which explores
the four-county area (Wake, Harnett, Lee, and Chatham)
around
Raven Rock State Park.
Proceeds from the event go to benefit the UNC
Kidney Center for direct patient services. Since its start in 2002, the Raven Rock Ramble has raised over $74,800
toward kidney health and awareness.
The Raven Rock Ramble endorses cyclist safety and responsibility as promoted by The
Peleton Project.
| An unseasonably hot and windy day lead to some very
tired but happy-to-finish cyclists. 468 riders joined this year's
Raven Rock Ramble. I'm still running the numbers, but expect we
should clear in excess of $14,000. Pictures are posted on DotPhoto.
Registration for the tenth and final Raven Rock Ramble will open
December 1, 2010. The ride date will be Sunday, May 1.
